This brand subversion T-shirt plays on the well known Tayto Crisps trademark and is a nod towards their well thought out advertising campaigns which have included "3 out of every 4 people prefer tayto, but there's always one". and their electoral campaign which touched on gay marriage in a very Irish way. (See below for images) Interestingly in 2008 they also ran an advertising campaign to find Mr. Tayto a wife. He's a potatoe who has been a batchelor all his life and dresses in very bright and garish clothes, he doesn't need a wife, he just needs to have a very honest conversation with his Mammy. |
